Each semester an elective, independent study is required.
The material must be approved by Dr. Karen Carr, 229-776-1229.

INDEPENDENT STUDY
Our independent study or elective program is handled in two different ways.

1. Biblical or educational studies primarily done through book work.
2. Practical hands on ministry or ministry training.

The independent study must be completed each semester, and appropriate logs submitted.
Logs include:
1) ministerial log for non-teaching/non-preaching study
2) book or course work
3) ministry based work
4) ministerial log for teaching/preaching
5) sermon/lesson title log

For each completed semester of independent study you will receive 3 credit hours toward your degree.   For more information or counseling concerning what type of independent study is best for you please see Dr. Karen Carr, Dean of Students.
